The Commission for Taxi Regulation is responsible for regulating the small public service vehicle (SPSV) industry in Ireland, taking account of the needs of both industry operators and their customers. It is the Commission’s stated vision that taxi and wider SPSV services become the preferred mode of transport for consumers in Ireland.
In line with its statutory obligations, the Commission is currently conducting a review of the National Maximum Taxi Fare to determine taxi fares from November 2010-2012. As part of this, the Commission is seeking the views of interested industry stakeholders, consumers and wider stakeholders.
The Commission asks interested stakeholders to make their submission in writing, using either the online submission form or the postal submission form. The results of the fare review will be published in September 2010.
Ongoing updates will be made available on the Commission website.
